Since 1986, the SME College of Fellows has honored those members who have made outstanding contributions to the social, technological and educational aspects of the manufacturing profession. These nine industry professionals have earned this highly prestigious honor through 20 years or more of dedication and service to manufacturing.

SME announced its Additive Manufacturing Community awards at the RAPID + TCT event, being held this week at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Now in its 28th year, RAPID + TCT is the preeminent event for discovery, innovation and networking in additive manufacturing.

These five SME International Honor Award winners are recognized for their significant contributions to manufacturing in the areas of manufacturing technologies, processes, technical writing, research and management.

The newly re-branded and updated “Aubin AM Case Study Award” looks to recognize innovations in application of AM technologies. The purpose of the award is to recognize outstanding use cases of AM adoption and implementation and to provide inspiration to others in their journey of AM application.
