These 18 Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineers, age 35 or younger, are being recognized for their exceptional contributions and accomplishments in the manufacturing industry.
The SME Member Council was created in the fall of 2003 to lead the member engagement activities of SME's volunteer networks. It is responsible for assisting SME in recognizing and meeting the needs of its membership in a rapidly changing environment, building on the long-term SME strategic goals, strengthening local activities and formulating recommendations relative to SME membership recruitment, retention and engagement.
Since 1986, the SME College of Fellows has honored those members who have made outstanding contributions to the social, technological and educational aspects of the manufacturing profession. These nine industry professionals have earned this highly prestigious honor through 20 years or more of dedication and service to manufacturing.
The newly re-branded and updated “Aubin AM Case Study Award” looks to recognize innovations in application of AM technologies. The purpose of the award is to recognize outstanding use cases of AM adoption and implementation and to provide inspiration to others in their journey of AM application.
This award recognizes outstanding vision and leadership within the manufacturing community.
SME’s Distinguished Faculty Advisor Award was established in 2011 to recognize select SME student chapter faculty advisors for their continued oversight and engagement efforts in advocating for students and the manufacturing industry.
Since 1980, the SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award has recognized manufacturing engineers, age 35 or younger, who have made exceptional contributions and accomplishments in the manufacturing industry.
The AM Industry Achievement Award, established in 2008 by SME's Additive Manufacturing Community, was developed to recognize an individual or team for outstanding accomplishments that have had significant impact within the additive manufacturing industry or in any industry through the application of additive manufacturing technologies.
