This open-book/open-notes outcome assessment allows three hours to complete and consists of 130 multiple-choice questions. The exam may be taken in either paper/pencil or online formats. Through an examination analysis report (PDF), you can view how the group performed in each topic area of the exam identifying the strengths and weaknesses of both your curriculum and students.

Prepare for the Exam
Students can start their preparation early by reviewing the Body of Knowledge (PDF), competency model (PDF), and recommended reading materials. Students can apply online to take the exam by selecting the student rate from the drop down menu. Your students can save nearly 50% on the exam fee by becoming a student member for an annual fee of $20.
Licensing is available to educators for an online review program comprised of 62 online classes mapped to the Body of Knowledge.

There is also an online self-assessment to help students evaluate their manufacturing knowledge and prepare for the exam. This self-assessment contains approximately 195 questions and determines the student’s strengths and weaknesses by knowledge area. Test results provide a score report based on performance and correlate to the Body of Knowledge (PDF).
