American Battery Manufacturers Establish U.S. Battery Machine Builders Initiative

Hauppauge, N.Y., Oct. 18, 2023— Charles Ross & Son Co. today announced the creation of the United States Battery Machine Builders (US BMB), a new initiative dedicated to fortifying the U.S. battery supply chain by encouraging adoption of American-made machines and equipment. Ross has founded the initiative with Abbot Furnace, Bechtel Global Corp., BW Papersystems, Dürr Systems Inc. and Siemens USA in order to bolster the battery supply chain by manufacturing equipment in the U.S.

As U.S. manufacturers of battery machines and equipment, US BMB unites behind the common goal of strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities essential for U.S. battery mining, processing and manufacturing, Ross says. By showcasing the quality, reliability and innovation inherent in American-made products, the US BMB aims to encourage more companies to invest in domestically manufactured machinery, says the company.
