Boeing Co. plans to cut 2,000 in human resources and finance, The Seattle Times reported this week.

The Arlington, Va.-based plane maker said the cuts would be accomplished through a combination of attrition and layoffs, the Times reported.

The company will outsource about a third of the jobs to Tata Consulting Services in Bengaluru, India, according to the newspaper.

Boeing posted a 2022 loss of $5.05 billion, or $8.30 a share. The company’s 737 Max and 787 Dreamliner are recovering from production and safety issues.
