Organization and Personnel Change at Rollomatic

Rollomatic Inc., a subsidiary of Rollomatic Holding Switzerland, announced the formation of a separate business unit within Rollomatic Inc. for laser cutting machines. Rollomatic is a builder of CNC five-axis laser cutting machines for ultra-hard materials such as polycrystalline diamond, based in Le Landeron, and Biel, Switzerland. Its North American headquarters are in Mundelein, Illinois with a state-of-the-art machine demonstration and customer support facility. Rollomatic and Strausak also supply CNC tool & cutter and peel grinding machines as well as laser cutting machines.

The company announced that Will Nash was promoted to the position of Senior Applications and Sales Engineer to support the new laser cutting unit.

In other news, Rollomatic also announced two other personnel appointments:

Jeremy David is now the Group Applications Manager for both the Rollomatic and the Strausak brands within the North American market. Jeremy David is also a member of the Group Management Team.

Kris Zellmann was appointed National Sales Manager for Strausak Inc. in the United States.

New Tool Grinder

Strausak also announced the launched its new model ONE 5‐axis flexible tool & cutter grinding machine. The machine features the company’s Numroto tool design software for grinding rotary and stationary cutting tools in small and large batch production, for custom cutting tools as well as for resharpening.

This model has been designed so that any options can be upgraded and retrofitted at any time during the life of the machine, according to Strausak. The company also boasts of the machine’s thermal stability and field tests that demonstrate a high Cpk process capability. This is of particular importance when grinding short‐run custom toolinng where accuracy and “first‐tool‐good” are critical, according to the company.
