Cheshire, CT—Hanwha Aerospace USA has been recognized by Raytheon Technologies for excellence in quality, delivery and operational performance. On January 29th, HAU’s Newington facility was officially awarded Raytheon Technologies’ Supplier Gold recognition. Supplier Gold criteria requires compliance with the following KPIs: zero escapes (quality rejections), 100 percent on-time delivery, 80 percent score on supplier health assessment in all categories plus zero gold question gaps and a superior business health assessment, rating core functional categories.

Hanwha Aerospace is the sole gas turbine engines manufacturer in Korea. Hanwha started the gas turbine engines maintenance business in 1979 and entered the aircraft engine business and cumulatively produced more than 9,000 engines as of December 2020. Hanwha Aerospace acquired EDAC Technologies in Q4 2019. For Hanwha Aerospace, the acquisition represents its first aircraft engine component manufacturing facility in the United States. EDAC Technologies is now operating as Hanwha Aerospace USA.
