SMW Autoblok Introduces New Production Unit and Special Solutions Catalog

Wheeling, IL – SMW Autoblok, a manufacturer of rotational chucks, stationary workholding, tooling and custom engineered solutions for the machine tool industry, has opened a new design and manufacturing production unit located in Petacciato, Italy, that is highlighted in a new 50-page Special Solutions catalog.

With over 30 years of automation experience including special equipment and machinery for clamping on machine tools, the SMW-Autoblok Petacciato team designs and manufactures intricate custom workholding solutions that are tailor-made to meet customers specific requirements.

A multi-sectoral and multi-tasking approach allows for the development of very complex and structured solutions characterized by tailoring accuracy, born from the union of expertise in the field of both static and rotating clamping.

“Since the creation of the new unit”, explains Gabriele Massimi, Special Applications Manager of Autoblok Petacciato, “the company has experienced continuous growth by overcoming the initial greatest challenge of making the customer understand that they used to associate the Autoblok name with standard products for rotating clamping on lathes, yet we also deal with static clamping solutions and special solutions that are tailor-made based on the specific needs of the customer.”
