Stratasys Ltd., the 3D printing company, said today it’s extending a technical partnership with the Team Penske racing operation.
Terms were not disclosed. Stratasys, in a statement, referred to the pact as a “multi-year” agreement. Stratasys printers will be used by Penske’s NASCAR, IndyCar and IMSA SportsCar teams.
“Our 3D printing strategy has always been to produce high-quality parts for our racing operations in the shortest amount of time,” Team Penske President Tim Cindric said in the statement. “Stratasys has consistently contributed to our ability to reach new solutions for improving our race performance.”
Stratasys’ relationship with Team Penske began in 2017. Team Penske uses Stratasys printers for tooling, fixtures, prototypes and end-use racing parts. The printers are installed at Team Penske’s facility near Charlotte, N.C.
