Peugeot SA and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV today revealed the logo for Stellantis, the name for the parent company resulting from their planned merger.
The companies said in a statement that the logo represents “the visual representation of the spirit of optimism” of the merged automaker.
Peugeot and Fiat Chrysler said in July they would adopt Stellantis as the new corporate name. The various vehicle brands of the two companies will remain in place.
The companies announced their plans to merge in December 2019. They are moving to join forces as the auto industry moves toward electric and self-driving vehicles.
Peugeot and Fiat Chrysler said they expect the deal to close at the end of the first quarter of 2021, subject to regulatory and shareholder approval.
