Arundel Machine Tool LLC acquired by ARCH Global Precision

By ARCH Global Precision Press Release

ARCH Global Precision, Bloomfield Hills, Mich., on Jan. 21 acquired Arundel Machine Tool, located in Arundel, Maine. Arundel manufactures high-precision components and assemblies primarily for the aerospace and defense market, as well as the semiconductor and oil and gas industries. Arundel will join the ARCH Precision Components Segment and will add scale to ARCH’s position as a growing supplier to the global aerospace and defense markets. Arundel has a breadth of core competencies, including high-precision complex machining of nickel alloys, stainless steel and aluminum; utilizing cutting-edge multi-axis CNC machining centers; and expertise in ultra-high-precision grinding. These advanced competencies are highly complementary to the existing high-precision machining capabilities at ARCH Precision Components locations across the country.

“We are extremely excited to announce the acquisition of Arundel Machine Tool, and we welcome all Arundel colleagues and customers to the ARCH family of companies,” said Andy Spiering, Divisional President of ARCH Precision Components. “This acquisition is strategically important for two reasons: It will significantly broaden our exposure to attractive aerospace and defense customers and programs. In addition, it expands our capabilities, and the soon-to-be-completed expansion at the Arundel facility will provide increased capacity to support the growing needs of our customers.”

“I truly believe from the bottom of my heart this is the right thing to do for Arundel Machine Tool and, more importantly, for all of our employees and our loyal customers,” said Marcel Bertrand, the former principal owner and CEO of Arundel. “ARCH holds true to the same set of core values that we live by every day at Arundel. This is an exciting new chapter for Arundel Machine Tool and an opportunity to grow with a family of companies that shares our vision of precision manufacturing in America.”
