SME Membership Launches New Engagement Opportunity with First Corporate Member Sponsored Webinar

Opening the Door to Industry Collaboration

SME Membership is introducing a new avenue for member engagement and thought leadership with the launch of its first SME Corporate Member Sponsored Webinar. This initiative brings together manufacturers and solution providers to exchange insights and explore new strategies for industry challenges. Open to both SME members and the broader manufacturing community, the webinar reflects SME Membership’s commitment to supporting professionals through relevant, high-impact content.

Addressing a Core Manufacturing Challenge

The inaugural session, Modernizing Production Scheduling: An Optimized Approach, will take place on Wednesday, April 16 at 2:00 PM EDT. This topic was chosen in response to one of the most common pain points in manufacturing today—ineffective production scheduling. Despite advancements in ERP systems, many manufacturers continue to rely on spreadsheets and manual processes to keep production on track. This webinar will offer attendees an alternative path forward.

Introducing the Dynamic Production Method

Presented by Mark Lilly of Lillyworks, an SME Corporate Member, the session will explore the Dynamic Production Method—a scheduling and planning approach that replaces traditional finite capacity scheduling. Attendees will learn how to improve production flow, generate credible visibility into future operations, and perform “what-if” analysis to better prepare for changes in demand, staffing, and materials. The method aims to help manufacturers execute more efficiently and make more informed decisions across their operations.

Join the Conversation

This webinar marks the beginning of a broader effort by SME Membership to engage both individuals and organizations in collaborative learning. Join us as we bring together the manufacturing community to explore new ideas, tools, and strategies that support progress and performance.
