This day shines a spotlight on the vital role manufacturing plays locally, nationally, and globally, as companies open their doors to students and young professionals to showcase opportunities, share knowledge, and inspire future creators. SME proudly champions programs that drive innovation and strengthen the industry. Celebrated on the first Friday in October, SME joins thousands of manufacturers to celebrate the power of modern manufacturing. Throughout the month, we will host dynamic events highlighting STEM education and career pathways, while launching new resources to support educators, students, and industry leaders alike. We're also proud to sponsor two local events this year: The Henry Ford's Manufacturing Day celebration at the Ford Rouge Factory Tour, and Wayne County MFG Day. During Manufacturing Month, SME is hosting a variety of webinars and virtual Shop Talks. These will be open discussions featuring subject-matter experts sharing insights on key industry topics. All SME membership webinar events are open to both SME members and non-members.
