NAMRC Student Research Presentation Competition (SRPC) and Award As part of the annual North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC), a Student Research Presentation Award is given to students recognizing their contribution to the conference. Encouraging young talent to pursue a career in manufacturing research is of vital importance to the long-term goals of the manufacturing community. A student who is a coauthor of a paper accepted by NAMRC is eligible to participate in the contest. The presentation is judged on the student's oral delivery and will be part of regular technical sessions and have the same time limitations. A student is eligible to participate who is enrolled in full or part-time undergraduate or graduate studies at the time of their oral presentation at the conference. Postdoctoral and research engineers are excluded as they are considered staff members. The presentations will be judged by a panel, which is comprised of the NAMRI | SME Honors Committee members or their delegates. Panel members will not judge their own students. The SRPC judging will be primarily based on clarity of presentation, including oral expression and use of visual aids, originality, and the scientific merit of the material. NEW for 2027, the NAMRI | SME Honors Committee wants to emphasize and encourage student presenters to demonstrate the communication skills needed to inform and inspire the broader manufacturing community. More details to follow. Winner and runner(s)-up will be announced during the NAMRI | SME Awards Luncheon held during NAMRC 55. Award selection procedure: To be eligible for the SRPC, authors must select the SRPC opt-in option when submitting their paper. Changes to the designated Student Presenter may be requested by emailing the Scientific Committee Chair, Dr. Stefania Bruschi, stefania.bruschi@unipd.it by March 31, 2027. The Scientific Committee will prepare a short list of student presenters based on the quality of the papers and notify the finalists in early April 2027. Winners will be selected from the short-listed student presenters at NAMRC based on the aforementioned criteria and judging panel. Previous Winners
