Manufacturing is comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds. Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is a time dedicated to recognizing the positive contributions this community has on society.

In honor of the Asian American and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month, We observe the critical role of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders involved in STEM careers supporting the manufacturing sector. 2021 Award of Merit Honorees

 SME’s Award of Merit recognizes exceptional accomplishments from among its membership. Hwa-Soo Lee, PhD, LSME, CMfgE, and Matthew Clegg are exceptional engineers committed to improving manufacturing. SME President, Michael D. Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineers

These SME members are helping shape the future of manufacturing. The 2021 Ronald P. Harrelson Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineers Award is intended to recognize the exceptional contributions and accomplishments of young manufacturers. These individuals help make policy for the institution that represents manufacturing research leadership in industry, government and academia in North America and the world.
