This Manufacturing Insights program showcases three Shingo Prize winning companies that have each had over ten years of successful experience deploying and sustaining long-term continuous improvements.
The objective of this program is to focus beyond the tools, techniques, and practices of lean and on to strategies for effectively embedding these continuous improvement principles into a company’s culture, behavior, and habits. Through candid interviews, you will examine real-world successes, mistakes, lessons learned, and results at Barnes Aerospace Fabrications, DJO Global Incorporated, and US Synthetic Corporation.
We also speak with Dr. Robert Maurer, clinical psychologist and faculty member of the UCLA and University of Washington Schools of Medicine. Dr. Maurer has lectured extensively on incorporating kaizen successfully into daily life, and he explains how change is perceived in the brain, why people resist change, and how to breakthrough this resistance using kaizen.
