Description:

Power-driven brushes are used in most major metal industries. They deburr, clean, descale, polish, edge blend, and texturize parts. Brush deburring offers many advantages, which is why it is widely used. Brushing is fast, relatively inexpensive (just a few cents per part in some instances), and exceptionally flexible. Brushing can be non-contaminating and is usually an environmentally friendly process. It is readily adaptable to manual equipment and requires little training or floor space. Brushing is often combined with bonded abrasive deburring and buffing to produce the final part’s finishes and edges. The rotary action of a brush enables the use of a tremendous variety of driving motors and fixtures, which is a major advantage. The industrial usefulness of brushes is broadened by their availability in wide varieties of bristle materials, diameters, and lengths. Brushes are safe and simple to use, which add to their list of advantages. Six types of brushes are used for hand deburring.
