Description:

Cork wheels can do work that may be difficult with other types of grinding wheels. They are made of a fine abrasive grain, a hard rubber bond, and a high concentration of small cork wood granules. The abrasive grain is evenly distributed throughout the wheel to promote consistent finishes. Some cork wheels have a resin or epoxy bond. Others have a rubber bond. Cork wheels must be run wet. Cork is used widely for more delicate work, thin walls, and smooth finishes. In many applications, either material will produce similar results.
