Isolation mounts molded from damped elastomers reduce the transfer of structure-borne vibration energy from component to component in electronic and electromechanical equipment. This energy not only can radiate from the structure as problem noise, but also interfere with equipment performance and shorten product life. Elastomeric mounts provide a resilient connection between components. Adding damping to the elastomer increases the mount's ability to reduce the amplitude of resonant vibration and dissipates shock energy.
