The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) is one of the world's largest publishers of manufacturing-related technical information and industry news. In addition, SME produces hundreds of DVDs and interactive CD training programs on various manufacturing topics.

Magazine & Yearbooks
 Yearbooks and ME Manufacturing Engineering® magazine delivers information you need to remain a leader, whether you are a job shop owner or other manufacturing professional and whether you work for a small, specialized shop, mid-sized supplier or large OEM. Since 2006, the editors of ME have published annual yearbooks that take an in-depth look at key manufacturing industries and initiatives.
Peer-Reviewed Journals
 Journals SME's scholarly journals, the Journal of Manufacturing Systems (JMSY) and the Journal of Manufacturing Processes (JMP), are published by Elsevier Ltd. and included in the ScienceDirect digital library.

Research Publications
 NAMRI The Transactions of NAMRI/SME disseminates critical research results in the manufacturing technical field in a journal-format publication established in 1972 by the North American Manufacturing Research Institution of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (NAMRI/SME). Many important scientific and technological milestones have been reported in these volumes by renowned researchers. The publication of the Transactions has both stimulated and faithfully documented the tremendous evolution of manufacturing science and technology.
 
 CIRP CIRP Papers present refereed scientific and technical work, and keynote papers summarize significant results of work performed over an extended period. SME and CIRP (the International Academy for Production Engineering) have an alliance in which keynote papers from designated CIRP General Assemblies and various papers presented by CIRP's Scientific Technical Committees (STCs) are made available exclusively to SME members.

 Tech Papers SME Technical Papers report best practices, ongoing advancements and industry trends within manufacturing.
