Role of SME Membership Consultant
The primary role of the SME membership consultant is to enhance communication such that member engagement is improved within the Society. There are three types of membership consultants and each will recruit team members of volunteers from various member groups to assist him/her to ensure that this leadership role is possible, effective and also provides a means to identify, cultivate and mentor future leaders. SME membership consultants and/or their teams focused on senior or student chapters will make contact with each chapter assigned at least once per month, and will personally visit each chapter at least once per year.

SME membership consultants will receive tactical guidance from the SME manager, member units, who is an SME employee serving as a liaison between the membership consultants and SME Headquarters.
