His experience on the shop floor includes troubleshooting large Class A surface automotive stampings and hemming operations. Peshek, who joined SME in 2009, is chair of the Forming & Fabricating Community and co–chair of the Stamping & Dies Tech Group. |

Dean Phillips is a sales engineer for LINK Systems Safety and Automation Controls. Since 1989, Phillips has been involved with the forming and fabricating arm of manufacturing. He has designed, serviced, installed and sold stamping presses, press brakes, shears and other forming and fabricating equipment across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Phillips' background in electrical engineering has helped him to serve manufacturers and "problem solve" their design challenges. Currently, he specializes in automation controls and assisting manufacturers with pressroom integration, die protection, tonnage analysis, automatic die adjustment and press monitoring, reporting and safety. Phillips is vice–chair of the F&F Community, an SME membership consultant to chapters in Tennessee and the former chair of SME's Nashville No. 43 chapter. He joined SME in 2005. |

Jon Brouwer is a a CAE leader, senior engineer for MB Tech Autodie LLC. Previously, he was a senior CAE engineer for Autodie LLC. Brouwer graduated from GMI Engineering & Management Institute with a BS in mechanical engineering and a cognate specialty in manufacturing product design. His fields of expertise include FEA sheet metalforming simulations, draw die developments using 3-D solid modeling, advanced high-strength steel research, metallurgy, sheet metal springback and die processing. Brouwer has authored and coauthored numerous papers and publications, and given various presentations at different conferences across North America. He currently chairs the Metalforming Simulation Tech Group and is working on his lean bronze certification. Brouwer is also a provisional member of the North American Deep Draw Research Group. |

Charles L. Caristan, PhD, received his PhD in atoms, molecules and laser physics from the University of Paris and an MS in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University. Currently, he is a business development manager, welding and cutting at Air Liquide America LP. Caristan is also the inventor of innovative laser-welding methods and laser apparatus. He has been an SME member since 1993, and is also a member of the Laser Institute of America and the American Welding Society. |

Joe Hough is vice president and director of technical services for Tower Oil & Technology Co. He has more than 30 years of experience in a wide variety of metalforming processes. Hough is currently responsible for new product development of metalworking fluids. An SME member since 2000, he is also an active member of the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers and the Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association. |

Bob Iossi is the CMO/VP of sales and marketing at Specialized Automation LLC. Iossi is an electrical engineer by trade and originally started with Caterpillar where he worked in the maintenance area on CNC controllers. Iossi then moved to Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as an applications engineer, engineering manager where he later moved into developing its professional services business as a business manager. In addition, Iossi's roles in sales and marketing as a systems integrator with Comau Pico, Maverick Technology and Glenmount Global Solutions provides a wide range of experience in all industries developing solutions for customers; he has been involved in manufacturing his entire career. Iossi, who joined SME in 2003, is the current chapter chair of Chicago No. 5. |

Eric Kam, product manager, AutoForm Engineering GmbH, has been active in the forming and fabricating community providing training, consulting and leadership since 1994. Sheet metal stamping design, formability, press engineering and maintenance, tool and die fundamentals, die processing and layout, and simulation experience has brought him to numerous automotive OEM, Tier 1 suppliers, aerospace and materials suppliers, both domestic and globally. Kam, who joined SME in 1998, is the former chair of the F&F Community and current co–chair of the Stamping & Dies Tech Group. |

Serhat Kaya, PhD, an SME member since 2009, holds a PhD degree from The Ohio State University and currently works at the R&D center of RTI International Metals Inc. His technical expertise lies in advanced experimental and computational mechanics of difficult-to-form lightweight metals, such as aluminum, magnesium and titanium. Processes Kaya has experience on are hydroforming (tube/sheet), deep drawing, stamping, warm forming, superplastic forming, extrusion and hot forming. He is the author/coauthor of several chapters in books and handbooks on metalforming. Kaya is the author/coauthor of ~70 publications in the form of journal papers, conference papers, presentations, trade journal articles and technical reports. He serves as a reviewer for major scientific journals and conference technical committees in the field, and has organized symposiums on metalforming in major international conferences. Kaya is the current chair of the Hydroforming Tech Group. |

Viwek Vaidya, PE, is vice president of business development for Metaltec Inc. Previously, he was the director of technology at Air Liquide Canada where he oversaw R&D activities, patents and the development of innovative welding services. Vaidya has designed many welding procedures from pressure vessels, mining and refinery equipment to nuclear reactors. He is a speaker at many conferences, an inventor, holds several patents, a McGill University professor and an active CSA member. Vaidya has been an SME member since 2005 and is the current chair of the Welding Fabrication Tech Group. |
