Frequently Asked Questions for Chapters/Tech Groups

What changes can chapters expect?
Chapters will have a new dashboard that is different from the previous dashboard. Work continues on the dashboard, and it will be ready for beta testing and for chapters in late June. In the meantime, SME's membership staff will be able to provide you with your much-needed information, such as officers, rosters and counts. Please contact SME Customer Care at service@sme.org or 1.800.733.4763 (313.425.4500 if outside the United States and Canada) or your MIRM. Designated chapter leaders will be able to download their chapter roster once beta testing is completed. Additional features will be available after dashboards are launched such as, designated chapter leaders will have access to member unit areas where they can enter the chapter officers, update chapter financial information and complete the Member Unit Assessment Guide (MUAG).

What changes can tech groups expect?
Tech group Web pages will not be available after January 3, 2012. Each tech group will need to determine if a Web page is needed and then create one using Higher Logic.

What changes can the Technical Communities expect?
On January 3, 2012, there will be a redesigned Web page for each Technical Community on sme.org. Each community/tech group will have a new dashboard that is different from the previous dashboard. Work continues on the dashboard, and it will be ready for beta testing in the latter part of January. My chapter dashboard is different, what should I do?
Personify and Higher Logic software work in conjunction for standard dashboard configurations. SME is working on finalizing the dashboard configurations. In the meantime, SME's membership staff will be able to provide you with the information needed, such as officers, rosters and counts. Please contact SME Customer Care at service@sme.org or 1.800.733.4763 (313.425.4500 if outside the United States and Canada) or your MIRM.

My technical community dashboard is different, what should I do?
