Lean growth continues at Datacraft Solutions

As companies seek to reduce inventory and free up cash, Datacraft Solutions is experiencing continuous growth. The Durham, N.C.-based firm provides companies with a digital kanban process of automation solutions, eliminating the need to install and maintain a complex IT infrastructure, which results in an immediate return on investment (ROI).

"Over the last two years we've seen revenue grow at an average rate of 20 percent with very low turnover, and our customer retention rate is over 90 percent," says Timothy Briggs, Datacraft Solutions chief operating and financial officer.

Timothy BriggsThe company recently welcomed United States Congressman David Price (D-N.C., 4th District), a member of the House Appropriations Committee. Price's visit included a tour and discussion with company representatives about how innovative supply chain technology can contribute to economic recovery in today's challenging business environment.

"The inventory cycle is a major factor in economic stress and recovery, and Representative Price understands that very well," explains Tim Briggs. According to Briggs, following lean manufacturing principles to reduce inventories and bring production on par with consumer demand is a proven way to reverse negative trends quickly.

"We have customers reporting anywhere from $35,000 to $8 million in inventory savings in five weeks to six months," Briggs says. "These savings free-up cash for companies to spend on technology and infrastructure improvements as well as increased staffing."

With more companies looking to realize fast ROI for lean manufacturing efforts, Briggs expects demand will remain strong for digital supply chain management tools from Datacraft Solutions.
