College of Fellows
	Since 1986, the SME College of Fellows has elected members who have made outstanding contributions to the social, technological and educational aspects of the profession. This is a distinctive and prestigious honor that can only be earned through years (20 or more) of dedication and service. More

Honorary Membership
	The award is conferred upon an individual of recognized ability and stature who has, by voluntary action, contributed their substantial skills and talent to accomplish the goals of the Society. More

Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award
	Since 1980, the award has honored innovators age 35 and younger in both academia and industry for exceptional accomplishments, such as technical publications, patents or technical-professional leadership. More

Award of Merit
	Since 1958, this award has honored SME chapter members who have made valued, balanced contributions to the Society's professional activities and growth. More

NAMRI/SME S.M. Wu Research Implementation Award
	Each year, this award recognizes individuals for outstanding original research, which, when implemented, has had a significant commercial and/or societal impact. It is presented each year at the esteemed North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC). More

Total Excellence in Electronics Manufacturing Award
	This award is given annually to an individual in recognition of his/her extraordinary dedication and innovation in setting new or higher levels of achievement in electronics manufacturing. More

FFC Technical Paper Excellence Award
	This annual award is open to anyone presenting or submitting forming and fabricating technical papers at an SME-sponsored or co-sponsored event. More

Rapid Technologies & Additive Manufacturing Awards

RTAM/SME Industry Achievement Award This award honors an individual, team or company for outstanding accomplishments that advance additive manufacturing technology and industry. More RTAM/SME Dick Aubin Distinguished Paper Award This annual award recognizes a paper describing innovative applications of rapid prototyping processes and techniques. It is named in memory of Richard F. Aubin, a pioneer in international intelligent manufacturing systems. More

J.H. "Jud" Hall Composites Manufacturing Award
	The award is presented annually to an individual who has contributed to composites manufacturing or tooling technology through leadership, technical developments, patents or educational activities. More
