Close to 40 exhibiting companies will officially introduce 55 new manufacturing products on the convention floor

Los Angeles, August 23, 2013 — WESTEC, the premier West Coast manufacturing event, will feature more than 250 new products and technologies, of which 55 are newly debuted manufacturing products introduced by close to 40 companies on the convention floor. Produced by SME, WESTEC 2013 will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center October 15-17, 2013.

Attendees at WESTEC 2013 will be the first West Coast audiences to view and interact with these new products and technologies that will significantly impact the global marketplace. Among the companies making product introductions are Innovative Tool Sales, Southwestern Industries Inc., OMAX Corp, C&B Machinery, PCT/GW, Zhejiang Headman Machinery Co. Ltd. and Chevalier Machinery. These exhibitors, and dozens of others, will be clearly marked with a “New Product” sign, so attendees will not miss the chance to witness groundbreaking technologies at work for the first time.

For nearly 50 years, WESTEC has built a reputation as the West Coast’s premier technological showcase for the manufacturing industry. Generations of manufacturers have used the event as a forum to find cutting-edge equipment, explore advanced technologies and learn innovative new production methods to help grow their businesses. Many of the industry’s top equipment manufacturers have unveiled technological breakthroughs at WESTEC — from software, cutting tools, 3D printers to multitasking machines.

"WESTEC is a must for us,” said Theresa Napolitano, marketing manager of Chevalier Machinery, a longtime exhibitor debuting several brand new products at WESTEC 2013. “Certainly, the other shows we’ve exhibited at this year are critical to our long-term success, but WESTEC is a golden opportunity to reconnect face to face with existing customers in the expansive West Coast and meet many prospects who have spent their time and money to visit and check out our new and established machines.”

WESTEC 2013 will build upon the overall success of the last exhibition, held March 2012, as a hub of industry innovation and business development. WESTEC 2012 saw increased attendees and exhibitors from years past, with more than 13,000 people and 400 exhibiting companies participating.

“Manufacturing technology has been advancing by leaps and bounds, so to stay competitive, companies within the industry are continuously adopting new technologies and practices,” said Christine Longroy, WESTEC event manager. “This exhibition is the best chance for West Coast manufacturers to view dozens of new products that will help advance their business interests.”
