Leveraging Real-time Data for Peak Asset Performance and Energy Efficiency

"Achieve Near-zero-downtime Performance with Embedded Prognostics and Health Management Technologies"

Jay Lee   Dr. Jay Lee
Ohio Eminent Scholar and L.W. Scott Alter Chair Professor, University of Cincinnati and Founding Director, National Science Foundation

Asset health and performance optimization is critical to business productivity and sustainability. Many companies are still struggling to manage asset performance using traditional data collection and condition-based maintenance approach. As more software and embedded intelligence is integrated in industrial products and systems, infotronics-based prognostics technologies can further intertwine intelligent algorithms with electronics and tether-free intelligence to predict product performance degradation and autonomously manage and optimize asset utilization and service needs.

This presentation will address the readiness of prognostics technologies for asset monitoring and health assessment. In addition, smart analytics for equipment reliability and safety management, and asset service innovation will be discussed. Finally, examples will be used to illustrate how world-class companies have transformed their productivity and smart service innovation.
