Nintendo of America Inc.
North Bend Packaging and Distribution Center Box lunch will be provided when boarding the bus.
Opening in 1991, the Nintendo Packaging and Distribution Center began automated shipping with the goal of providing retailers the highest level of customer service by offering weekly shipments to retail outlets via the Direct to Store (DTS) program. This program allows retailers to review store level sell through data and submit replenishment orders that will be delivered to their store in less than six business days, maintaining store level inventory availability and avoiding stock outages. In 2002, Canadian distribution responsibilities were also assumed.
To achieve the goal of providing weekly shipments to retail stores requires each of the internal departments within the distribution center to maintain a constant focus, ensure staff is well trained and continuously improve all of their processes, procedures and systems. Nintendo's current order accuracy rating for shipments is 99.99993% based on total pieces shipped and total dollar adjustments are less than $600 for the entire year.
Nintendo's packaging department is responsible for packaging first-party software and various bundle projects. The packaging of separate parts into finished goods (that will be displayed at retail for consumer purchase) is handled through both automated and manual processes. The automated lines package optical discs and game cards for the Wii and DS into retail configurations utilizing sophisticated packaging equipment. The manual lines produce software and hardware bundles, as well as retailer specific builds. Using these methods, Nintendo is able to ensure customer demands are met while maintaining the highest levels of quality.
NOTE: All tour participants are subject to final approval by the host facilities, which reserve the right to PRESCREEN and DECLINE attendance for the tour. Cameras are not allowed on either tour.

Power of Visualization Wrap up your conference participation by taking part in this intensive, interactive workshop that will show you key tools to put all your ideas into action.
Having the "power to visualize" is an innate strength for some visionaries, but is not an attribute which everyone possesses. This "power" is a secret weapon of almost all great leaders, but some are not even aware that they possess it. Why is this power a secret weapon for leaders? They set the direction and path — it always helps to "map out" or "visualize" that path before embarking on the journey.
Whether you currently lead a team or want to be able to better see any project through to success, you can learn to better walk through projects and other situations and to focus on value-added tasks and eliminate the non-value added wastes.
This workshop takes you step-by-step through the process of learning how to visualize correctly and translate vision into an actionable plan. It also helps in advancing skills in:
- Focus and concentration
- Triggering the right brain activity
- Developing the right brain to 'walk-through' projects and situations
It's about learning the techniques and then practice, practice and more practice. This secret power of visualization, once perfected, will allow you to dream bigger. No matter how complex the project or the situation gets,
if you clearly visualize it, you will successfully complete it! Meet Your Workshop Leader
