Description

This presentation from the SME Product & Process Design and Management (PPDM) Technical Community covers emerging trends and pertinent questions in change management, knowledge management, and shop floor information delivery and mobile devices. In change management, the future is the triple bottom line—profit, people, and planet. There is increasing realization that knowledge, such as intellectual property, cannot be managed without a comprehensive strategy, with benefits of preserving and fully leveraging. For shop floor information delivery, it is important that employees have the data they need when and where they need it. Organizations need to understand the value of an IT architecture to deal with the variety of machines and devices in the shop.

The PPDM Technical Community coordinates efforts of technical groups that discuss, explore, and advance ideas related to the design and management of products and processes. It also connects members to additional lean-related groups and resources. Find out more at www.sme.org/ppdm.
