Change in the business structure and the culture to support teams are the most difficult challenges. The TPM vision, mission, and plan need to be clearly understood by the teams. Effective teams typically go through a team building process to develop the trust and to work together efficiently. Teams need to bond and develop a synergy. There are key team roles such as the team leader, team facilitator (coach), recorder, and the other team members. It takes time for teams to reach a stage of harmony and commonality of purpose. Teams are the key to a successful TPM process.
