In 2005, approximately 800 waterjets were sold in North America. The waterjet market is often cited as being the fastest growing segment of the machine tool business. As more waterjets are purchased, current and new waterjet customers must look for ways to increase profitability with current or new products. This paper will attempt to point out a few ways that waterjet cutting can be more profitable, not only by reducing costs, but also by increasing revenue sources. This paper focuses on abrasive waterjet cutting. Author: J. Day (Bystronic Inc.)
