Two-Compartment Cabinet Oven

No. 1028 is a twin-compartment, 750ºF electric cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for preheating large dies at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of the two compartments on this oven each measure 40” W x 42” D x 51” H (1016 x 1067 x 1295 mm).   100 kW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 78000-cfm, 5-hp (221,000-l/min, 3.7-kW) recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload in each compartment. 

This Grieve cabinet oven features 8” (200-mm) insulated walls, removable top-mounted heat chamber, aluminized steel interior and exterior, plus two tiers of four 300-lb (135-kg) capacity shelves supported by rollers to extend 14” (355 mm) in front of the oven for easy access. 

Controls onboard No. 1028 include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blower air flow safety switch, SCR power controller and circuit breaker disconnect switch.
