REGO-FIX to Spotlight High-Production Precision Tooling at PMTS
Indianapolis, Indiana, February 26, 2013 — At PMTS 2013 in booth #238, REGO-FIX® will spotlight several precision toolholding advancements geared specifically to high-production machining applications. Among these innovations, the company will demonstrate its slim-nose powRgrip® 6 (PG6) toolholder, SwissQuick adapter holders, metallic sealed ER collets and cylindrical collet holder extensions during the show in Columbus, Ohio, on April 16-18.
The PG6 was developed for accessing tight, difficult-to-reach features in small complex parts. As one of the newest additions to the company’s powRgrip toolholder line, the PG6 is the smallest with a minimal outside diameter of 0.393" and clamping diameter from 0.007" to 0.125".
Exceptional for high-precision and high-production applications, the PG6’s runout accuracy is less than 3 microns. And because it incorporates REGO-FIX’s unique approach to toolholding, the PG6 offers superior vibration dampening, easy tool presetting, longer tool life and unmatched clamping forces. Designed for easy operation and use, all powRgrip holders allow users to press in a new tool or remove it in less than 10 seconds. Additionally, the system requires no heat, so tools can be used immediately after a tool change.
For providing rigid ER to ER reduction in a variety of sizes and thread types, REGO-FIX’s SwissQuick adapter holders provide shops with the highest clamping forces possible for maximum holding power and precision balanced performance rated at 2.5 G and 22,000 rpm. The adapter system makes it possible to preset tool assemblies off line for tool length, as well as to switch out on Swiss Automatics in seconds. Both options eliminate the time-consuming task of touching off newly installed tools.
PMTS show attendees seeking the highest precision collets will see the REGO-FIX metallic sealed ER collets, which deliver a best-in-class TIR of within +/- 0.0002" over their entire clamping ranges. These well-engineered and patented collets are available in sizes from ER 11 to ER 40 for diameters of 0.1181" up to 1.0236". And because the collets are engineered by REGO-FIX and are compatible with all the company’s toolholding components, users gain maximum precision, balance and tool life.
Well suited for various automatic machines, REGO-FIX’s cylindrical collet holder extensions will be on display, as well. These holder extensions can be utilized in conjunction with other holders when more reach is needed. REGO-FIX offers the largest selection of cylindrical holders manufactured under tight tolerances to give shops runout of only 0.0001" for exceptional cutting results.
