Houstex 2013: CNC Coupling Lathe Family

The Danobat CL CNC coupling lathe family is designed for manufacturing API, Premium, and Super-premium couplings for the oil and gas industry. The series includes the CL-7, CL-9, CL-13 and CL-16 with coupling sizes up to 7, 9 5/8, 13 5/8, and 16” (178, 244, 346, 406 mm). The lathes are designed with a wide stance between symmetrically placed wide box guideways supporting the saddle of the rigid drum-type turret for chatter-free machining. The vertical axis drum type turret machines on the spindle center line so the cutting forces are always acting in the correct direction. For high-volume production, SMW-Autoblok indexing chucks specifically designed for couplings feature high-volume coolant-through-chuck system to evacuate chips fast.
