High-Payload SCARA Robots

Two additions to the lightweight THL Series line of robots offer increased payload capacities. With arm lengths of 300 mm and 400 mm respectively, these new units are classified as small SCARA robots, while they boast the maximum payload capacity (5 kg) in their class. Like all THL Series robots, the newer THLs are equipped with lightweight die cast aluminum arms. All THLs require minimal supporting and vibration-suppression elements. Another benefit of their light weight is reduced energy-consumption. These are said to consume up to 20% less power than other THLs. The THL300 and THL400 are ideal for small parts handling and assembly, including cellular phones, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, small automotive parts and consumer products.
