FABTECH 2012: Vertical Tilt Frame Band Saw

The new TF-1418 vertical tilt frame band saw can handle most structural sawing jobs, while minimizing scrap and reducing blade dulling. The manually controlled tilt frame saw has the ability to tilt up to 60° left and 45° right. Material can be fed in from either the left or right side. The rear-fixed vise jaw assures that saw travel is minimized on smaller stock. With a capacity of 14” (356-mm) wide by 18” (457-mm) high, it is capable of cutting both structural steel tubes and channels.  The TF-1418 can use any 1 × 0.035” (25.4 x 0.89-mm) band saw blade from a wide range of available blade pitches and sets. Band drive speed is adjustable from 50 to 400 fpm (15-122 m/min) and band tension up to 30 ksi psi (2068 bar).
