FABTECH 2012: Laser Processing Cell

Flex Laser Pro is a high-speed, three-axis, scanner-based laser processing cell equipped with an IPG 2-kW single-mode fiber laser and a Cambridge Technologies 3-D high-speed scanner head. Flex Laser Pro is well-suited for prototyping, process development and production, or any applications where extreme speed and high accuracy are required. An extremely large field of view (FOV) working area up to 1000 × 1000 mm is created by means of power-adjusted scanner height setup and fully dynamic Z axis. Flex Laser Pro can laser-weld, cut, or mark a nearly unlimited range of parts and shapes. Typical spot size at midrange FOV is about 20 µm. Flex Lase Pro is modular and completely self-contained. Laser, chiller, fume exhaust, gas management, and controls are all on board.
