FABTECH 2012: Precision Slitting Lines

A precision manufacturer of coil processing systems, company will showcase its precision slitting lines. Cutting and winding of thin and very thin strips from 0.0008"(0.020 mm), especially strips with a delicate surface, is the company’s specialty, with slitting lines to meet the highest demands and cutting quality, with the most accurate width tolerance and a high winding quality at a very high speed up to 2000 fpm (600 m/min). The slitting lines can be supplied for a material width up to 90" (2.3 m). The slitting lines offer the following features: high precision of the slitter head due to special bearing arrangements and preloaded linear bearings; s CNC control of the slitter head; strip control with dancer arm; automatic strip feeding from the slitter to the uncoiler; movable tension stand with the possibility to integrate different brake tensioning systems depending on the surface like; tension pad, brake rolls or even vacuum brake rolls. These features result in better slit edges, less cutting burrs and longer knife life.
