FABTECH 2012: Interlock Safety Switches

The new line of HE Series non-contact safety interlock switches and multigate SCU-1 control unit monitoring system is aimed at machine guarding where monitoring for a guard is required and locking is not required. Typical applications include packaging, paper, food and beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, canning, mail, steel, motor, weighing, semiconductor, plastic, aluminum machinery and metalworking industries. The line’s interlock switches the latest coded magnetic non-contact switches, and have fully encapsulated solid state, single point switching with built in, dual color, LED status indication. The switches offer a CAT 4, SIL 3 PLe safety performance level, and offer 2 N/O and 1 N/C bi-directional solid state outputs. The HE Series is IP67 rated. When combined with the SCU-1 control unit, it is a multigate switch solution capable of monitoring up to 30 switches in the series. Since the HE series is a HED double switch, it reduces the amount of wiring for multiple gates and reduces the brackets needed for mounting the switches.
